Central Bhutan tour will take you deep into the heart of the beautiful Bumthang valley, considered to be the Switzerland of Bhutan. Our route crosses three high mountain passes Dochula at 3100m, Pelela at 3300m and yotongla,the highest 3,400 meters. Bumthang is considered to be the spritual home of the Bhutanese people. In this tour you will get an opportunity to explore major worth seeing places of Bhutan. You visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower that is now known as the National Museum. The museum boasts antique thangka, textiles, weapons and armor, household objects and rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
 
 In this tour, You also visit the Rinpung Dzong, built in the 17th century to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders.The Dzong is now used as and administration centre and school for monks. Other highlight include visit to Bhutanese Handmade paper factory. Visit Punakha Dzong, winter seat of the je Khenpo and ancient capital of Bhutan. Drive to Bumthang via Trongsa is about 7 hours crossing over Pele La Pass (3300m) and Yotongla Pass (3400m). From the Pele La Pass, the Himalayan range can be seen, Particularly the peak of Jhomulhari (7,314m) to the west. You also visit Jambay Lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan built in 7th century) and Jakar Dzong (seat of the district administration). Visit National memorial Chorten, built in honor of late King jigme Dorji Wangchuk which is defended this valley from Tibetan invasions.

Day 1 : Arrival at Paro International Airport.

When you will arrive at Paro airport, Our representative will receive you then you will be transferred to Thimpu an hour's drive. Afternoon you can visit local market of Thimpu.

Day 2 : Paro to Thimpu.

Today, In the morning drive to Drugyal Dzong (a ruin of a Dzong) which is situated at the end of Paro valley about 16 km outside town. This fortress is of great historical importance as it was here that the Bhutanese defeated the invading Tibetans and drove them back. After that visit one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, the Kyichu Lhakhang. After lunch in Paro town drive to Thimpu.

Day 3 : Thimpu to Punakha.

Today, In the morning visit Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third King of Bhutan. After that you have the chance to experience Bhutanese arts and crafts being taught at Zorig chusum , the school of 13 Holy arts. After lunch drive to Dochu La, a 3140 high street pass. After having cup of tea on the way continuous drive to Punakha and check in at the hotel.Overnight at hotel on BLD Basis.

Day 4 : Punakha to Gangtey.

Today, After breakfast you visit Punakha Dzong was the former capital of Bhutan and the Dzong (fortress) lies between two rivers known as Pochu and Mochu which means "Male River and Female River". After visiting the Dzong you drive to the beautiful Phobjika valley, where you will is also home to the endangered black Necked Cranes in winter times, by going for two hours hike up to the village of Gangtey, where you can visit Gangtey Goempa. This monastery is the biggest Nyingma monastery in Bhutan and follows the teachings of Tertoen Pema Lingpa.Overnight at hotel with BLD Basis.

Day 5 : Gangtey to Trongsa.

Today, We leave the peaceful Phobjika valley and continue the drive towards central Bhutan. After crossing the 3,420m high Pele La you enter the broad heavily mangde Chhu valley. Stop for tea at the Chendibji cafetaria, just around the Chendibji Chorten, built in the 19th century by Lama Shida from Tibet to cover the remains of an evil spirit that was killed here. Still one hour before actually reaching Trongsa you will reach the viewpoint from which you have a stunning view over Trongsa Dzong and the village. You reach your hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit Trongsa Dzong. Then continue to the newly opened Museum in the Ta Dzong, dedicated to the reign of the Wangchuck family.

Day 6 : Trongsa to Bumthang.

Today, Early morning you start the drive to Bumthang, crossing jotong La 3,425m and enterning the region of Bumthang. The descent from the pass is through first, then blue pines and bamboo. You will reach Bumthang for lunch. In the afternoon you will then start exploring the actually reach and sacred Bumthang valley; drive up to Jakar Dzong and visit it inside. Then you drive to Member Tsho also known as 'Burning Lake'. Return to Bumthang.

Day 7 : Sightseeig at Bumthang & Monasteries.

Today, The day is dedicated to the famous monasteries of the Bumthang area. First in the morning visit Jambay Lhakhang, which dates back to the region of Tibeatan King Songtsen Ganpo, who built this temple to Subdue an ogress that was lying across the himalayan region. When the great sanit Guru Rinpoche arrived to Bhutan in the late visiting the temple you continue to Kujey Lhakhang which is nearby. Kurjey consists of three temles, with the oldest one during one dating back to the 1652 when it was built by Minjur Tenpa. Inside the temple the cave in which Guru Rinpoche mediated can be seen. the next temple you reach by walking across the river as it is located right opposite Kurjey Lhakhang. Tamshing Lhakhang is a private monastery that was established in 1501 by treasure revealer Pema Lingpa. Inside some of the probably oldest paintings in the entire country can be seen, Painted by Pema Lingpa himself.

Day 8 : Bumthang to Punakha.

Today, you will drive back towards the west and return to the National highway and drive 190 km back to Punakha. On the way you will stop in Chendiji for lunch. You reach Punakha in the late afternoon.

Day 9 : Punakha to Paro.

Today, You will drive back to Paro by crossing Dochu La. Stop in Thimpu for lunch and then continue towards Paro. At Chuzom, where the rivers Paro Chhu and Wang  Chuu meet, you can see three different types of Chorten (Tibetan, Nepali, Bhutanese). Reach Paro in the late afternoon and take a walk through the village.

Day 10 : Paro Sightseeing.

Today's programme includes a hike to one of the most sacred places in entire Bhutan. After driving to the road end you start the climb to the picturesque Taktsang Monastery, also known as "Tigers Nest". Perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearby 800 ft, Taktsang was built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup (stag tshang seng ge bsam grub) cave where Guru Rinpoche has mediated for three months in the 8th century. Padmasambhava has introduced Buddhism to Bhutan.

It depends upon season.During winter (November to February), It is colder at night time and relatively warmer during the day time, with the tempreature ranging from around 4 degree at night to 23 degree at day time. Between March and May, the weather stay perfect as the tempreature averages 25 degree during the day time. From Septembet to December,following te monsoon, the temperature gets cooler and allows for a great time to travel. The average temperature during this season is 22 degree.
