Chulu East Peak Climbing is a well-known and popular peak climbing in the popular both for peak climbing and trekking in Nepal.Chulu East (6,584m) is situated high above the Manang valley with breathtaking views across to the Annapurna II, III & IV Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu.The climb is combined with the classic trek around the Annapurna massif, ascending the Marshyangdi valley and crossing the Thorong La, before descending the Kali Gandaki valley to Pokhara.The climb is technically straightforward and you should be familiar with the use of your equipment, crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. Mostn of the climbing will be involved walking roped together, including the glacial crossings. You should be very fit & have good experience of climbing.
 
Chulu East Peak climbing starts from Besisahar, the headquarters of Lamjung district.First you will drive untill Besishar from the Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway enjoying the scenic drive to the village town of Besishar.It will take around 6 to 7 hours of drive from Kathmandu before you reach Besishar.Your official peak climbing itinerary then begins from Besishar when you start hiking on the trail along the Marshyangdi river.The trail further leads to Pisang village departing from the main route.From pisang village you will then arrive at the Base camp of the Chulu East Peak. Chulu East Peak climbing is a moderate type of peak climbing and as you do not feel that much exhausted and uneasy, you can hence easily continue the trek towards Chulu Peak.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu airport & transfer to hotel.

After arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by our representatives at the airport and then be transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Preparation for climbing and sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Today, you will be preparing for the peak climbing which will start from the next day onwards. You will arrange the necessary equipments that are needed for peak climbing and the documents regarding the permission of peak climbing will be arranged by us. You don't need to worry about that. After that you will sightseeing around Kathmandu for the rest of the time. You will visit the Durbar squares of Kathmandu, patan and Bhaktapur and also visit Swyambhunath temple, Bouddhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, among other temples and monuments for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Besishar (760m).

Today, you will have breakfast in the morning at the hotel and then drive to Besishar from Kathmandu along the Prithivi Highway. It will be around 5-6 hours of journey from Kathmandu during which you will enjoy the picturesque and scenic drive along Trishuli river. Besisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung, is a small & beautiful town located along the shores of Marshyangdi river. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 4 : Trek to Bahundanda (1,398m).

Today, official peak climbing itinerary starts from the fourth day onwards when you will trek from Besisahar to Bahundanda. The trek is gentle and slowly gains altitude as you climb up the trail. Bahundanda is a small and beautiful village in Lamjung.

Day 5 : Trek to Chamje (1,410m).

Today, You will hike further up from Bahundanda to Chamje which is located at 1410 meters of altitude. It will be a short and comfortable walk on this day and you will also get the chance to mingle with the local villagers of the region during the course of trek. In between, you will also cross past a suspension bridge over Marshyangdi river. After that you will ascend to Jagat crossing waterfalls on the way. Then, continuing an hour's of walk you will arrive at Chamje.

Day 6 : Trek to Bagarchhap (2,080m).

Today, you will resume your trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2080m). You will ascend from  Chamje after taking breakfast in the morning at the Guesthouse. After continuing along the trail for hours, you will then take your lunch on the way. Bagarchhap is a typical Tibetan village where you can see rich ancient architectural carving and monuments.

Day 7 : Trek to Chame (2,720m).

The altitude continually increases as you further walk from Bagarchhap. You will ascend as the altitude increases from Bagarchhap to Chame. You will cover around 700 meters on the day and you will have to walk for several hours before you reach village of Chame. Before reaching Chame, you will have to cross pas thick forest and a suspension bridge.

Day 7 : Trek to Chame (2,720m).

The altitude continually increases as you further walk from Bagarchhap. You will ascend as the altitude increases from Bagarchhap to Chame. You will cover around 700 meters on the day and you will have to walk for several hours before you reach village of Chame. Before reaching Chame, you will have to cross pas thick forest and a suspension bridge.

Day 8 : Trek to Pisang (3,060m).

Today, you will cross several rivers and settlement areas of the local villagers. After following the trail along the banks of Marshyangdi in Bartang, you will cross Manang valley and head towards Pisang. In Pisang, you will get to see incredible rock walls and also various landscapes including hills and the mountains.

Day 9 : Trek to Ngawal village (3,600m).

Today, you will trek to Ngawal village (3,600m) after taking breakfast in the morning. Ngawal is a beautiful village where you can explore more and talk with the local villagers and inquire about their way of life. You will also find noticeable differences between Pisang and Ngawal villagers.

Day 10 : Trek to Base camp.

Today, you will trek all the way to the Base camp from Ngawal village and it will require a lot of energy as well as concentration while walking. So, you will move and trek to Base camp only after taking breakfast in the morning. You will experience some of the real adventures of trekking on the 10th day of the itinerary as you near towards the Chulu East Basecamp.

Day 11 : Acclimatization in Base camp.

Today, you will take rest at the base camp itself, acclimatizing to the high altitude and the changing environmental conditions. Acclimatization is very important during high altitude trekking and peak climbing. Hence, you need to be careful about acclimatization before you proceed ahead with the climbing. You can however stroll and walk around the Base camp, take pictures of the Panoramic views of the mountains and the landscapes. Overnight at Guesthouse with BLD Basis.

Day 12 : Trek to High camp.

Today, you will ascend to the high camp from the base camp. Trekking to high camp is a challenging activity and hence you will climb and trek slowly keeping in mind the problem that might arise due to high altitude sickness. The panoramic views of the mountains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, among others, can be seen in an amazing manner from the high camp.

Day 13 : Summit Chulu East and back to Base camp.

Today, you are close to your dream of ascending Chulu East Peak, after waiting for almost two weeks. You will start from the high camp early in the morning and set off on your journey to climbing the peak. After several hours of climbing, amidst difficulties and also thrill and adventure, you will finally arrive at the summit of the Chulu East peak. After enjoying the amazing view from the top and spending some time there, you will return towards the Base camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Manang (3,440m).

For the trek to Manang, there consist two ways both routes can be followed. Afterward, there is Jharsang Khola which should be crossed. There is a Gurung village known as khangsar where you can find a small monastery and prayer flags. Through this trek, you will get an opportunity to view magnificent view of Annapurna Himal.

Day 15 : Trek to Yak Kharka (4,200m).

Today, you will take a walk throughout the shady colored settlement of Manang following the path of stone walls and sandy path. you will arrive to yak Kharka or Koche village. Koche is famous for grazing animals. In the pasture land grasses and varieties of seasonal flowers are found. It has glaciers and other water resources. It makes this place very attractive.

Day 16 : Trek to throng Phedi (4,450m).

Today, you will carry on the direction to Throng Phedi (4450m) After reaching there you would not be able to view any trees. Then you will ascend to the Base camp. Throng Phedi is popular as a tiny village situated near Marsyangdi river. Below the river, there is a huge meadow land.

Day 17 : Trek to Throng La Pass (5,416m).

Today, you will trek to Throng La Pass (5416m) from  Throng Phedi. Comparatively, trek to Throng La Pass is a tough and difficult trek. The total duration to ascend the Throng La pass takes 7 hours. Then, you will descend towards Muktinath, a holy pilgrim place.

Day 18 : Trek to Jomsom (2,750m).

Today, You will trek to Jomsom from Throng-La Pass. It will be an amazing down climbing from the pass, and you will arrive at Jomsom after several hours of climbing down the trail, enjoying the trek along the barren landscape. Jomsom is a popular small town in Mustang which is crowded round the year by the tourists and travelers.

Day 19 : Flight to Pokhara.

Today, After your morning breakfast you will catch a fight from Jomsom to Pokhara.Around 20 minutes mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara will be a memorable one as you will enjoy the scenic view of the mountains and the neighboring landscapes. After your landing at the Pokhara airport, you will then be transferred back to the hotel.

Day 20 : Drive back to Kathmandu.

Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.You can rest for the remaining time at the hotel.

Chulu east peak climbing is suitable for those person who is physically fit, no previous experience is required. To condition yourself for the trek, some physical fitness programs such as walking, running, swimming and hiking are recommended before you embark on your journey. To prepare for this trek you should begin training at least four to five months before your trip.Any person suffering from a pre-existing medical condition or diseases must seek medical advice before considering any trek.
Yes, our company representative will be there to greet you. He will be displaying Himalayan  Excursion Nepal sign board outside the airpot terminal. You will be transferred to your hotel by our private vehicle.
Best season for trekking is usally March-April and October-November.
Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict.At night it is generally cold and the days are generally warm.The temperature could be as high as 25 degree celsius to -20 degree celsius low.
 
During trek guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner,But they have facility of hitting the dinning area by providing kerosene or metal heater. USD 2 to USD 5 per person would be applicable to use this service and this is payable directly to the guesthouse. 
Depending on nature of travel we provide different vehicle service.we provide tourist vehicles for sightseeing, city tours and airport pickups-drops. We book flight ticket through Tara Air, Goma Air and Nepal Airlines air for the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and vice versa.
There are landline telephone in some village along the trekking routes from which you can contact with your family and friends. some place there is also internet access which you can use by paying some charges.Also you can buy sim card for your cell phone by giving your xerox copy of your passport and PP size photo.
In the cities, off course yes but once you are outside of the cities, all you have to pay in cash. Also you have exchange the currency in Nepali rupees before you go outside the cities.
Generally, in kathmandu you can allocate USD 15-20 for lunch and dinner.During trekking USD 10 to 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water,chocolates,biscuits,pay for the hot shower and a few drinks.
Yes, charging facilities will be available in every guesthouse & lodges but sometime there maybe load shedding problem so its better to bring power bank or spare batteries.
There are many restaurant available in Kathmandu city where you can find any delight of your choice. But in trekking route most teahouses.On the menu you may find noodles soup,steam mo:mo,daal bhat, green salad, finger chips,eggs,potatoes, fresh vegetables. You can get tea,coffee,hot lemon,hot chocolate. Every day breakfast, lunch , dinner will be at a lodge.
 
Along your trek we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides,porters,accomodation and food.Please consult with your guide and he will update our office in Kathmandu and we can make the arrangments accordingly.

If you are in private or solo trip it would be possible as your itinerary is very flexible where as if you were in group then this group the option would be limited so please make sure you discuss with your group and guide and your guide will update us accordingly.
 
Lodges mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our clients to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at the high altitude is not safe for the stomach.
Hot water in bucket will be provided for shower and you have to pay for hot water.
Yes, they have received training from NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management).They have also received high altitude first aid training from KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education Project).
Actually tipping is not compulsory, but small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters.The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvment with your guide.
