Dhaulagiri Trekking is one of the most popular and the most challenging trekking in Nepal. Dhaulagiri is the sixth highest mountain in the world. No doubt,you will have the most exciting experience with the scenes of the area.Dhaulagiri is most unique in the world in terms of its gorge to the south east in about 30 km of aerial distance.In fact, Kaligandaki is dramatic as two eight thousanders, Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri  both stand near the river facing each other over a deep valley.Dhaulagiri literally means "White mountain" which justifies a magnificent peak rising as a giant shoulder of shining ice and snow.
 
Dhaulagiri round trekking begins from Kathmandu to Beni by bus,from Beni,we set out trekking on foot. In between, we happen to cross many cultivated fields,forests and villages,where various ethnic groups reside,namely,Gurung,Chhetri and magar etc. You can see exciting views of Dhaulagiri from Italian base camp.You will have a rest for acclimatize with the altitude. In this trek you can encounter semi-wild yak herds,mountain sheep or the elusive snow leopard etc and we also can see the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri,Thring peak,Mt. Annapurna and Kali Gandaki river, the world deepest gorge.

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu airport & transfer to hotel.

Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel. After refreshment move for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

Day 2 : Full day Kathmandu sightseeing & trek preparation.

Today, After morning breakfast you'll visit different historical and cultural sites of the Kathmandu valley with our professional guide. You will go for the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, the world biggest Boudhanath stupa and visit Swoyambhunath stupa also known as monkey temple. After exploring the surrounding areas visit historical Kathmandu Durbar square with the temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess).

Day 3 : Drive to Beni, 8-9 hours,

Today, After morning breakfast you will drive to Beni through the Pokhara.

Day 4 : Drive to Durban then trek to Dharapani (1565m)

Today, After breakfast you will drive to the Durbang, the road is not good, its stone-paved road. After lunch in Durbang you will start climb further to a beautiful village name called Dharapani.

Day 5 : Trek to Muri (1,850m)

Today, Trek goes steeply up to Muri from where you will enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Dhaulagiri and other mountains.

Day 6 : Trek to Boghara (2050m)

Today, its starts with easy walking down for few hours until Phedi but near to Boghata, you have to climb a steep path for a couple of hours.

Day 7 : Trek to Dhoban (2630m)

Today, the path is quite difficult and sometimes you will need the help of the ropes. The trail descends down to a small ridge then crosses forest to Jyarden. Finally, cross the rocky part to arrive at Dhoban.

Day 8 : Trek to Italian Base Camp (3500m)

Today, you will walk passing through beautiful forest we rapidly gain altitude and mountains burst out all around. Finally reaching the IBC where you will set up your tent just front of the west wall of the Dhaulagiri. You are rapidly gaining altitude, make yourself confident and take it easy.

Day 9 : Acclomatization Day in IBC,

Today is your first Acclimatization day since there is little exploring to be had, this is a day to relax because tomorrow we will have a tough day. Do exercise, move around, make some hiking and properly acclimatize with the altitude.

Day 10 : Trek to Global Glacier camp (4250m)

Today, you will cross the first glacier, probably using a rope in a couple of tricky spots, we climb onto the main glacier. The surrounding are spectacular, which makes up for the rough and dangerous trail. Probably the glacier crossing would require the use of rope.

Day 11 : Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4650m)

Today is your most interesting day, that you are reaching the Dhaulagiri Base camp soon the rough rubble gives way to the smooth ice of the white part of the glacier. We climb steadily to the rough and chilling but spectacular DBC. During walking, enjoy the magnificent north face of Dhaulagiri.

Day 12 : Acclimatization Day at DBC

Today is your second acclimatization day, next day you will be at an altitude of 5000-6000 m, hence so this day is essential. Even when we are acclimatizing, health experts recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest day too instead of being idle.

Day 13 : Trek to French Cole (5360m)

Today, your destination is French Cole. Hidden valley getting off the glacier above the base camp often requires a rope , but once over the steep moraine walks we are in safer and gentler country. After a breathless climb to the top of French Col.

Day 14 : Trek to Hidden valley camp (5000m)

Today, Acclimatize, explore around surrounding peaks and valley.

Day 15 : Trek to Yak Kharka (4200m),

Today, you will cross over the 5200m Dhampus Pass, we traverse avalanche prone slopes and then descends steeply to Yak Kharka. Then trail descends down until we reach at our today's final destination yak Kharka.

Day 16 : Trek to Marpha (2,665m)

Today, you will have short more steep descend leads to Marpha. After a few hours walking in the snow, we pass the top of the Marpha pass. Marpha is the warehouse of apple in Nepal so you will have wonderful different made by apple even also you can try apple brandy.

Day 17 : Trek to Ghasa (2010m)

 
This all the way is easy flat down to Ghasa at the bank of Kaligandaki river through the beautiful pine forest. You will cross very beautiful village name Tukuche and Kalapani, From Kalapani you will have a magnificent view of two giant mountain Mt. Annapurna at the left-hand side and Mt. Dhaulagiri at the right-hand side. The deepest gorge in the world is near Ghasa at Kaligandaki river.

Day 18 : Trek to Tatopani (1190m)

Today, you will walk easy flat down to Tatopani, it can take four hours, then you will naturally hot bath in hot spring. You will have a wonderful time at hot spring with a cold beer.

Day 19 : Drive back to Pokhara (890m)

Day 20 : Lesiure day in Pokhara

Dhaulagiri Round trek is suitable for any kind of person who is moderately fit, no previous experience is required. To  condition yourself for the trek, some physical fitness programs such as walking, running, swimming and hiking are recommended before you embark on your journey. Any person suffering from a pre-existing medical condition or diseases must seek medical advice before considering any trek.
Yes, our company representative will be there to greet you. He will be displaying Himalayan  Excursion Nepal sign board outside the airpot terminal. You will be transferred to your hotel by our private vehicle.
Best season for trekking is usally March-April and October-November but
Dhaulagiri Round trek can be done in February,June,April,May and December as well.
 
Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict.At night it is generally cold and the days are generally warm.The temperature could be as high as 25 degree celsius to -20 degree celsius low.
 
During trek guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner,But they have facility of hitting the dinning area by providing kerosene or metal heater. USD 2 to USD 5 per person would be applicable to use this service and this is payable directly to the guesthouse. 
Depending on nature of travel we provide different vehicle service.we provide tourist vehicles for sightseeing, city tours and airport pickups-drops. There are no any tourist bus transfer services from Kathmandu to Beni so we provide local bus transfer to Beni and tourist bus transfer from Pokhara to Kathmandu after the trek.We book flight ticket through Simrik air, Buddha Air, Yeti air for the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and vice versa.
There are landline telephone in some village along the trekking routes from which you can contact with your family and friends. some place there is also internet access which you can use by paying some charges.Also you can buy sim card for your cell phone by giving your xerox copy of your passport and PP size photo.
 
In the cities, off course yes but once you are outside of the cities, all you have to pay in cash. Also you have exchange the currency in Nepali rupees before you go outside the cities.
Generally, in kathmandu you can allocate USD 15-20 for lunch and dinner.During trekking USD 10 to 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water,chocolates,biscuits,pay for the hot shower and a few drinks.
Yes, charging facilities will be available in every guesthouse & lodges but sometime there maybe load shedding problem so its better to bring power bank or spare batteries.
 
 
There are many restaurant available in Kathmandu city where you can find any delight of your choice. But in trekking route most teahouses.On the menu you may find noodles soup,steam mo:mo,daal bhat, green salad, finger chips,eggs,potatoes, fresh vegetables. You can get tea,coffee,hot lemon,hot chocolate. Every day breakfast, lunch , dinner will be at a lodge.
Along your trek we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides,porters,accomodation and food.Please consult with your guide and he will update our office in Kathmandu and we can make the arrangments accordingly.

If you are in private or solo trip it would be possible as your itinerary is very flexible where as if you were in group then this group the option would be limited so please make sure you discuss with your group and guide and your guide will update us accordingly.

 
Lodges mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our clients to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at the high altitude is not safe for the stomach.
 
Hot water in bucket will be provided for shower and you have to pay for hot water.
Yes, they have received training from NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management).They have also received high altitude first aid training from KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education Project).
 
Actually tipping is not compulsory, but small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters.The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvment with your guide.
 
Cancellation notice is required, minimum of 25 days prior to trip departure. If the reason is valid the trip shall then be termed as cancelled and the cancellation charge of 30% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid.
