Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu.

After arrival at Kathmandu airport Our company representative's will welcome you and then transfer to hotel. After time to get refreshed, evening we'll meet and transfer for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants in the heart of Kathmandu and briefing about your trip.

Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trip preparation (1300 m).

Today, After morning breakfast you'll visit different historical and cultural sites of the Kathmandu valley with our professional guide. You will go for the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, the world biggest Boudhanath stupa and visit Swoyambhunath stupa also known as monkey temple. After exploring the surrounding areas visit hitorical Kathmandu Durbar square with temple, unique architectures and kumari (living goddess).

Day 3 : Visa and Document preperation for trip.

Today, this is day for visa preperation and other legal documentation. Normally it will take two days for urgent visa and if top urgent visa we can take within one days but it will be little expensive.

Day 4 : Fly to Lhasa (3600 meters).

After arrival on Gonggar airport by your Tibetan guide. Take a 1.5 hours drive along 93 kms road leading to Lhasa lying at an altitude of 3660 meters. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa altitude.

Day 5 : Guided city tour in Lhasa (3600 m).

Today, After morning breakfast, you straightway make arrangement tour. Your experienced guide accompanies you to the famous monateries of Tibet. On your awe-inspring visit to Sera Monastery. You once again continue exploring Tibetan ancient cultures and civilization as you pay a visit to Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lam. Jokhang temple provides yet another exciting and eductive tour. Wandering around Barkhor markets is another major highlight of the day.

Day 6 : City tour around Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery (3660 meters).

Today, you will get more acquainted with the mystiques of Lhasa. In the morning after breakfast, you will set off the view majestic Potala Palace towering above city of Lhasa. You get to witness unique, pristine and overwhelming array of intricate Tibetan murals,temples,stupas, and tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas from a perfect vantage point. Ancient Tibetan cultures come alive with your every exploration. Later in the afternoon lunch, you will visit beautifully landscaped Drepung Monastery. You can observe nuns and monks chanting and performing religious discourses.

Day 7 : Lhasa to chusul, 70 km, 2-3 hours.

Today is your first day of cycling, we take to our mountain bike out to the Drepung Monastery on the outskirts of Lhasa. The freedom highway then leads us away from Lhasa down the Lhasa valley and to our guesthouse in Chusul.

Day 8 : Chusul to Nagatse, 105 km, 4-5 hours, O/N at tent/Guesthouse.

Today, After morning breakfast, those who feel up to it can tackle the 25 km climb up to the pass of Kamba La. This tough climb will take 3-4 hours but the views from the prayer flag-stream summit at 4794 meters are spectacular. We then descend to the turquoise Yamdrok lake where  we have lunch, before taking the gentle and scenic road around to the small town of Nagatse.

Day 9 : Chusul to Gyantse Dzong, 3850 m, 100 km, 4-5 hours.

After breakfast, there is the opportunity to tackle the first and (fortunately) 'Lowest' of the high passes- the 5045 meters Karol La. This climb will take approximately 3 hours. The subsequent descent is twice as long and descends over 1000 m in altitude to Gyanste in the heart of the Yang Chug valley. There is plenty to catch the eye here, including the Palcho Monastery and the magnificent Kumbum Stupa.

Day 10 : Gyantse to Shigatse, 3900 m,94 km,4-5 hours.

Today's ride is a scenic and gentle 94 km across beautiful plains with a dramatic mountain backdrop. After a mid-ride lunch stop, we continue across the plains into Shighatse, Tibet's second largest city and home to the controversial Panchen Lama, whose home is traditionally at the Tashilunpo Monstery.

Day 11 : Rest day in Shigatse and visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, 3900 m.

Today, Visit the huge Tashilunpo Monastery complex. During our time in Shigatse, the necessary permits will be issued for visting Everest Base camp.

Day 12 : Cycle the passes of Tra La (4050 m) and Tsuo La (4520 m) to Lhatse, 150 km, 5-6 hrs.

Today, following the breakfast, A gentle start to the day with rolling terrain across the Shigatse Plains. A gradual but long climb then takes us to the double passes of Tra La (4050 m) and Tsuo La (4520 m). There is then a fantastic descent which flattens out before we arrive at our guesthouse at Lhatse.

Day 13 : Lhaste to Shegar (4050 m), 85 km, 4-5 hrs.

Today, A day to test the legs. We leave Lhatse and ride to the foot of the Gyasto La, before climbing to the summit of the pass at 5248 meters. This is the highest pass on the friendship highway and steady effort will be needed to conquer it. The sight of Everest looming into view is the reward for attaining the summit, as we gradually approach the Himalayan chain.

Day 14 : Shegar to Tashi Zom (4400 m),62 km,3-4 hrs.

Today, After the intial smooth tarmac from the door of the hotel, we then  turn south and head off-road for the next few days, for the very fittest there is another pass. This time the 5200 meters Pang La. Where we feast on the extensive views of the Himalayas. On a clear day, the sheer scale of the mountain views throughout is unequaled in the world. The descent from the pass is fast and twisty and brings us down in to the Rongbuk vallley and to our overnight stop in Tashi Zom.

Day 15 : Tashi Zom to Rongbuk (5000 m),42 km, 2-3 hrs.

Today, Cycling on a vehicle width jeep trail today in full view of Everest's North face. We approach both the mountain itself and the Rongbuk Monastery. Taking lunch in the airy tranquility here is one of the highlights fo the trip. After lunch, we continue the short distance to our overnight accommodation at the Ja-Rongbuk tented camp. The remainder of the afternoon is free to allow for acclimatization to the lofty (5200 m) altitude.The stunning views of Everest,visible from our campsite,hopefully make up for the lack of air.

Day 16 : Day Explore in Rongbuk (5200 m),8 km.

Today, After breakfast, we take to our bikes and head slowly up the gravel jeep trail to Everest Base Camp. The route is only 4kms, but the stunning views and thin air mean. It might well take 90 minutes. The views from Base camp are stunning and offer a 360 degree panorama of the high Himalaya to put your photographic skills to the test. After enjoying the ambiance of Base camp. We return to our tented accommodation where our cooks will have prepared another amazing lunch. The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the incredible surroundings.

Day 17 : Rongbuk to Tingri (4350 m),70 km,3-4 hrs.

Today, Heading out of the wide valley, a turn-off takes us over the Nam La pass and along smaller tracks to Tingri, a little town overlooking the sweeping plains. Tingri is bordered by the mighty Himalayas and we will have distant views of Everest.

Day 18 : Tingri to Nyalam (3750 m),3-4 hrs.

We usually drive to the first of the double passes of Lalung La (4950 m) before riding down and up to the Shung La (5200 m), the last pass in Tibet. The high - altitude lunch spot here is fantastic with tantalising views of Shsihipangma. Lunch is made even more enjoyable for knowing that it is now more than 4000 m down to Nepal. We begin our epic descent by thundering down to Nyalam.

Day 19 : Nyalam to Dhulikhel (1450 m), 75 km, 3-4 hrs.

Today, the high pass will be not found. At Zhangmu we pass through Chinese customs before continuing down to Nepal. Crossing the famous friendship bridge at Kodari.Remember to ride on the left in Nepal, from Barabise we transfer to Dhulikhel.

Day 20 : Dhulikhel to Kathmandu, 20 km, 1 hrs.

Today, After a morning breakfast we head off through the greenery of the Kathmandu valley towards our final destination. Kathmandu via the UNESCO world heritage city of Bhaktapur, where we will have the time to visit the beautiful Durbar square. From here we transfer to our hotel where we pack up the bikes, shower, and prepare for our well-earned farewell celebration dinner.

Today, our company representative will drop you to the Kathmandu airport for your final departure for your home country or onward destination.
 
Kathmandu Lhasa Mountain bike tour is suitable for those with some previous mountain biking experience.You should be physically fit to brave the effects of higher altitudes as you ascend over 5000 meters which involve some steep climbing against head winds.
 
 
Yes, our company representative will be there to greet you. He will be displaying Himalayan  Excursion Nepal sign board outside the airport terminal. You will be transferred to your hotel by our private vehicle.

It depends upon season.During winter (November to February), It is colder at night time and relatively warmer during the day time, with the tempreature ranging from around 4 degree at night to 23 degree at day time. Between March and May, the weather stay perfect as the tempreature averages 25 degree during the day time. From Septembet to December,following te monsoon, the temperature gets cooler and allows for a great time to travel. The average temperature during this season is 22 degree.
During trip guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner,But they have facility of hitting the dinning area by providing kerosene or metal heater. USD 2 to USD 5 per person would be applicable to use this service and this is payable directly to the guesthouse. 
There are landline telephone in some village along the trekking routes from which you can contact with your family and friends. some place there is also internet access which you can use by paying some charges.Also you can buy sim card for your cell phone by giving your xerox copy of your passport and PP size photo.
 
Chinese Yuan and US dollar can be accepted in Tibet. There are no ATMs in the town you are visiting.Exchanging your money to chinese currency will be the best option for you,which you do at Kathmandu and border.
 
Generally, in kathmandu you can allocate USD 15-20 for lunch and dinner.During trip USD 10 to 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water,chocolates,biscuits,pay for the hot shower and a few drinks.
Yes, charging facilities will be available in every guesthouse & lodges but sometime there maybe load shedding problem so its better to bring power bank or spare batteries.
There are many restaurant available in Kathmandu city where you can find any delight of your choice. But in triproute most teahouses.On the menu you may find noodles soup,steam mo:mo,daal bhat, green salad, finger chips,potatoes, fresh vegetables. You can get tea,coffee,hot lemon,hot chocolate. Every day breakfast, lunch , dinner will be at a lodge.
 
Lodges mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our clients to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at the high altitude is not safe for the stomach.
