  • Bring your own complete riding gear (helmet, boots, gloves, rain jacket, back protector, water bag hydration etc).

  • Bring sunscreen and sunglasses, because we will be travelling at high altitudes.
  • You may feel symptoms of altitude sickness; you must drink a lot of water to minimize this risk.

 

Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Our company representative will greet you at airport and transfer to pre-booked hotel located in heart of Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, there may be time to explore Kathmandu city. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage sites Swayambhunath temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After half day sightseeing we will go nearby mountain bike showroom for inspection and hire mountain bike. Overnight at hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis.

Today, after breakfast you will be transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport and after 25 minutes scenic flight you will reach Pokhara city. OR alternatively you will drive around 7-8 hours by private car. On arrival in Pokhara city, you will check in hotel and relax for a while and evening you can enjoy your dinner at lakeside. Overnight at hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis. 

Ride distance: 15 km approx.  Ride Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Today early morning transfer to Pokhara airport and enjoy 15 minutes scenic flight to reach Jomsom, during flight you can get glimpses of the massive Himalaya mountain ranges including Mount Annapurna and Mount Dhaulagiri. Once you arrive Jomsom airport meet our crew and take some time to get kitted up and hot tea/coffee before start ride. Today's ride will be an easy 15km on flat terrain to acclimatize our body in high altitude. Our stay will be at beautiful village Kagbeni. Overnight at guesthouse on Breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride distance: 17 km approx.  Ride Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Today, upon leaving beautiful village Kagbeni, we will ride at black top road and dusty jeep track to reach Muktinath. On the way to Muktinath we will stop one village called Jhong where we will explore the ancient monastery and have lunch. Once arrive at Muktinath village, we will hike half an hour to reach main temple premises. Muktinath is a sacred site for both Buddhist and Hindu. Evening time you can spend your time to explore the local village including monastery with your guide. Overnight at guesthouse with Breakfast, Lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride distance: 30 km approx.  Ride Time:  4-5 hours
Today is our one of the toughest ride. We need to start our ride early because today is our long ride and toughest because we have to ride uphill Gyu La Pass at 4067 meters altitude. We will ride fast single track all the way to reach Chhusang. We will cross beautiful Kali Gandaki River and start uphill climb to reach Samar for overnight stay. We have plenty of time so we can take multiple time short breaks for photo, video and also tea break. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride distance: 28 km approx. Ride hours: 4-5 hours 

Today, we have cross 5 passes over 3800 meters Syangboche, Yamdo, Nya la, Bhena and Ghami. The ride will be tougher but we will stop multiple places for rest and tea break. On the way we will have lunch and Ghiling and resume or ride, after couple of hours ride we will reach Ghami for night stay. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch & dinner basis. 

Ride distance: 25 km approx Ride hours: 4 to 5 hours 
Today we will ride Ghami to Lo-manthang via Dhakmar, Ghargomba, Charang and Choku La pass. Comparatively today's ride will be easier than the previous days. We will stop for lunch at beautiful village Charang. Once we arrive at Lomanthang we will checked into guesthouse and take short rest and explore ancient walled city and visit three main monastery Jampa monastery, Thubchen monastery and Chode monastery. We will also visit Kings Palace. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 

Drive distance: 40 km approx. Drive Time: 1 hour  
Today, you can walk yourself to Lo-manthang vilage and explore untouched lifestyle of local people, culture, arts of Mandalas, ancient and unique architectures. After exploring around Lo-manthang, we will have short drive by Jeep to Chhosar to exlore the ancient cave known as Dzong or visit old Niphu monastery. For overnight stay we will drive back to Lo-manthang. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 

Ride Distance: 18 km approx. Ride Time: 4 to 5 hours 

Today, after breakfast we will start our ride to Yara. We have to ride back in same trail for a while and we will ride skyline single trail to reach Yara. Our today's ride will be Challenging because of steep descends and narrow exposed trails. Overnight at Guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis.

Ride Distance: 18 km approx. Ride hours: 4 to 5 hours 

After breakfast, we start our ride towards beautiful village Tangee, we will cross two passes (3875 m) which not very high but you have to be prepared to push your bikes. The terrain will be completly barren but the landscapes will be amazing. Today we will cross the Dechhyang steam, which comes from the sacred lake Damodar Kunda. On the way we will stop multiple times for tea break. Once we arrived Tangee village we will explore unique monasteries and authentic villages. Overnight at Guesthouse with Breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 

Ride distance: 25 km approx.  Ride Time: 4 to 5 hours  

Today after breakfast we will take pack lunch and start our ride leaving the beautiful village behind. We will cross Paha pass (4217 m) and have our pack lunch. While crossing pass it will be difficult to push uphill but after climbing the downhill ride will be a well-deserved reward for rider. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis. 
 

Ride Distance: 49 km Ride time: 4 to 5 hours 

Today, after breakfast we will drive to Muktinath and start our ride climbing Lupra pass at 4100 meters height. After climbing challenging height you will be rewarded by more than 8 km descent. Our trail meets the Kaligandaki River and reach Jomsom bazar for lunch break. After couple of hours ride we will reach Lete for night stay. Overnight at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner basis.

Ride Distance: 48 km Ride Time: 4-5 hours Driving time: 3 hours  Driving distance: 95 km 

Today our ride will be different because we will ride through different topography. We will ride through world's deepest gorge Kaligandaki, dirt road with optional sing track. We will cross many beautiful local settlement, pine forest, foothills of mountains and subtropical trails. We will take lunch break at Tatopani and resume our ride up to Beni Bazar where our vehicle will be waiting to take us Pokhara city. Overnight at hotel with bed and breakfast basis.

Today, after breakfast drive or fly back to Kathmandu. In your free time you can have souvenir shopping for your family, friends and relatives. Overnight at hotel with bed and breakfast basis.

Yes, our company representative will be there to greet you. He will be displaying your name outside the airport terminal. You will be transferred to pre-booked hotel by our private vehicle.

Best season for upper mustang mountain bike tour is usually March-April and October-November.

Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict. At night it is generally cold and the days are generally warm. The temperature could be as high as 25 degree Celsius to minus 15 degree Celsius low. 

Depending on nature of travel and group size, we provide different vehicle service. We provide tourist vehicles for sightseeing, city tours and airport pickups-drops. 

In the cities, off course yes but once you are outside of the cities, all you have to pay in cash. Also you have exchange the currency in Nepali rupees before you go outside the cities. 

Guesthouse does not facilitate with heater or air conditioner, but they have facility of hitting the dining area by providing kerosene or metal heater.

Most of the  Guesthouse there is internet access which you can use free of cost. Also you can buy sim card for your cell phone by giving your Xerox copy of your passport and PP size photo and use WIFI data from which you can contact with your family & friends. 

Generally, in Kathmandu & Pokhara you can allocate USD 15 to 20 for lunch & dinner. During mountain bike trip USD 10 to 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, biscuits and a few drinks.

Yes, charging facilities will be available in every guesthouse & lodges but sometimes there maybe load shedding problem so it’s better to bring power bank or some spare batteries. 

There are many restaurants available in Kathmandu & Pokhara city where you can find any delight of your choice. But in trip route most guesthouse menu you may find noodles soup, steam mo:mo, daal bhat, green salad, finger chips, eggs, potatoes, fresh vegetables. You can get coffee, tea, hot lemon, hot chocolate. Every day breakfast, lunch, dinner will be at a lodge.

Lodges mostly serve the vegetarian meals so there is no problem at all for vegetarian. Also we always recommend our clients to eat vegetarian meals to avoid food poisoning. Non-veg meals at the high altitude are not safe for the stomach.

Off course yes, they have received training from NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management). They has also received high altitude first aid training from KEEP ( Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project). 

Actually tipping is not compulsory, but small gesture of thanks to your crew members, The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide.
